# Monitor a topic with a Watch

> Turn a filtered Insights or Context view into recurring personal Inbox matches, then review and act on new evidence.

A Watch turns a one-time investigation into a recurring workflow. ClosedLoop AI checks future evidence against your saved filters and places new matches in your personal Inbox.

## Prerequisites

* Product evidence is available in **Insights** or **Context**
* You can define the topic with at least one filter

<Steps>
  <Step title="Build a focused view">
    Open **Insights** or **Context** and apply one or more filters. The **+ New watch** action remains unavailable until the view has an active filter.

    Watches are not currently available from **Behavior**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Preview and save the Watch">
    Select **+ New watch**. Enter a clear name, choose a priority, review the current match count, and select **Save watch**.

    <Note>The preview count describes existing matches. Those items are not added to Inbox retroactively; the Watch begins with new evidence that arrives after you save it.</Note>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review new matches in Inbox">
    When new evidence matches, open **Inbox**. Use **From watches** to separate Watch matches from auto-detected items, or filter to a specific Watch.

    Critical Watch matches appear under **Needs attention**. Low, medium, and high priorities appear under **For review**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Act on each match">
    Open a match to inspect the linked Insight or Context item and its source evidence. Then choose an action:

    * **Snooze** or **Reschedule** to return later
    * **Resolve** to complete the review, with an optional note
    * **Dismiss** when the match does not need action
  </Step>

  <Step title="Tune or pause the Watch">
    Open **Settings** → **Watches** to review recent matches and Watch health. You can change priority, pause or resume the Watch, or delete it.

    <Warning>Deleting a Watch also deletes its past Inbox matches.</Warning>
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Verification

The Watch appears in **Settings** → **Watches**. Future matching evidence appears in the Watch creator's personal Inbox and links back to its source item.

<Note>Inbox is the supported destination for Watch matches. Do not rely on external delivery channels for this workflow.</Note>

## Troubleshooting

* **You cannot create a Watch:** Apply at least one filter in **Insights** or **Context**.
* **The previewed items are missing from Inbox:** Preview results are not backfilled. Wait for new matching evidence.
* **The Watch is too noisy:** Pause or delete it, then create a replacement from a more focused filtered view. Narrower filters reduce match volume. Lowering priority only moves future matches from **Needs attention** to **For review**; it does not reduce matches.
* **A match looks wrong:** Open its source evidence, then pause or delete the Watch and recreate it from a corrected filtered view.
