# Asana

> Sync your Asana roadmap into ClosedLoop AI: portfolios, projects, and tasks connect to customer demand so planned work is grounded in real evidence.

Connect Asana to ClosedLoop AI and your roadmap gains customer evidence. ClosedLoop AI syncs your Asana workspace as a roadmap source, then matches customer demand (insights and themes) onto the work you have planned, so you can see the evidence behind every roadmap item and the demand you have not covered yet.

## What Gets Synced

| Projects   | Bodies of work with sections and status             |
| Tasks      | Individual work items with completion state         |

<Note>Asana is a **roadmap source**, not a feedback source. ClosedLoop AI syncs a full copy of your planning data each cycle, so the roadmap always reflects the current state in Asana. There is no lookback window to configure, and roadmap sync does not consume AI analysis credits.</Note>

## Connection Method

Asana connects with a **personal access token** created in your Asana account. You paste it into the connect form in ClosedLoop AI.

## Setup Guide

    1. In Asana, create a personal access token from your account settings
    2. In ClosedLoop AI, go to **Settings, Integrations**
    3. Find **Asana** in the integrations list and click **Connect**
    4. Paste your token and click **Connect** to verify and save

    If you connect more than one roadmap tool, one of them acts as your team's primary product roadmap. The first roadmap tool you connect becomes the primary automatically; you can change which tool is primary in Settings at any time.

## What You Get

Once connected, ClosedLoop AI will:

1. **Sync your portfolios, projects, and tasks** in full, keeping the roadmap current with Asana
2. **Project them onto your roadmap** as initiatives and features
3. **Match customer demand**: insights and themes connect to the features they support, so every roadmap item shows its evidence
4. **Reveal coverage gaps**: see which customer demand is not yet reflected in planned work

Changes you make in Asana appear in ClosedLoop AI after the next sync cycle. The sync is read-only: ClosedLoop AI reads your planning data and never writes back to Asana.
