Agentic AI represents the next evolution of artificial intelligence, where systems can independently reason about complex tasks, make decisions, and take actions to achieve specific objectives. Unlike traditional AI that responds to specific inputs, agentic AI can proactively identify problems, develop solutions, and execute multi-step plans. ### API Rate Limiting Technical A technique to control the number of requests a client can make to an API within a specific time period. Rate limiting protects APIs from abuse and ensures fair usage across all clients. It can be implemented using various algorithms like token bucket, sliding window, or fixed window. Rate limits are typically expressed as requests per minute, hour, or day. C ### Churn Rate Business The percentage of customers who stop using a product or service over a given period. Churn rate is a critical business metric that measures customer retention. It's calculated as the number of customers lost divided by the total number of customers at the start of the period. High churn rates indicate problems with product-market fit, customer satisfaction, or value delivery. ### Customer Feedback Loop Customer Feedback A systematic process of collecting, analyzing, and acting on customer input to continuously improve products and services. A well-designed customer feedback loop ensures that every piece of customer input is captured, analyzed, and translated into actionable insights. This creates a continuous cycle of improvement where customer needs directly influence product development decisions. ### Customer Journey Map Customer Feedback A visual representation of the customer's experience with a product or service from initial awareness to long-term loyalty. Customer journey maps help teams understand the complete customer experience by identifying touchpoints, emotions, pain points, and opportunities for improvement. They typically include stages like awareness, consideration, purchase, onboarding, usage, and advocacy. F ### Feature Flag Technical A technique that allows developers to enable or disable features in production without deploying new code. Feature flags provide a way to control feature rollouts, perform A/B testing, and quickly disable problematic features. They enable teams to deploy code with features turned off, then gradually enable them for specific user segments or all users when ready. M ### MCP (Model Context Protocol) Technical An open protocol that lets AI systems connect to external data sources and tools in a standardized way. MCP gives AI models a standardized way to access real-time information, execute actions, and maintain context across different applications and services. It acts as a bridge between an AI assistant and the systems that hold your data, so answers stay grounded in live evidence instead of stale exports. N ### NPS (Net Promoter Score) Customer Feedback A metric that measures customer loyalty by asking how likely customers are to recommend a product or service. NPS is calculated by asking customers a single question: "How likely are you to recommend our product to a friend or colleague?" on a scale of 0-10. Scores of 9-10 are promoters, 7-8 are passives, and 0-6 are detractors. The NPS is the percentage of promoters minus the percentage of detractors. P ### Product-Market Fit Product Management The degree to which a product satisfies a strong market demand, typically measured by customer satisfaction, retention, and organic growth. Product-market fit is the holy grail of startup success. It occurs when your product solves a real problem for a large enough market that customers are actively seeking it out and willing to pay for it. Marc Andreessen famously said that product-market fit is the only thing that matters for startups. U ### User Story Product Management A short, simple description of a feature from the user's perspective, typically following the format "As a [user type], I want [goal] so that [benefit]." User stories are the building blocks of agile development. They capture requirements in a user-centric format that focuses on the value delivered rather than technical implementation details. Good user stories are independent, negotiable, valuable, estimable, small, and testable (INVEST). ## Ready to put these concepts into practice?
