What ClosedLoop AI Reads

Connecting stores your token. It does not start reading your workspace.
Connecting makes one request to Planhat, to confirm the token works on the cluster you chose. ClosedLoop AI reads whether that request succeeded, nothing from its response, and then stores your token and cluster. Reading your Planhat data is not enabled yet, and the scope is agreed with you during onboarding. What it is for: Planhat knows how a customer is doing now, which a CRM records poorly. Account status, lifecycle phase, health, renewal date and who owns the relationship all come from your Customer Success platform, so insights can be weighted by customers who are actually still with you. Conversations, notes and tickets held in Planhat are deliberately out of scope by default. Most of them originated somewhere ClosedLoop AI already reads, and counting them twice would inflate how often a theme looks like it was raised.

Connection Method

Planhat uses API token authentication. You provide two things: the token, and the cluster your workspace runs on. Your cluster is the first part of the address you sign in at. Planhat’s app and API hostnames match one to one: A Planhat token only works on the cluster it was created in, so picking the wrong one is the most common reason a valid token is refused. ClosedLoop AI verifies the token against Planhat before storing it, so a wrong token or a wrong cluster tells you immediately instead of failing quietly later.

Setup Guide

  1. In Planhat, open Settings
  2. Create a new API access token
  3. Copy the token and save it somewhere safe: Planhat shows it only once
Creating a token needs admin access in Planhat. If you do not see the option, ask a Planhat administrator on your team to create one for you.
Look at the address bar while you are signed in to Planhat.If the URL starts with app-eu2.planhat.com, your cluster is eu2. If it starts with app-us3.planhat.com, your cluster is us3. If you sign in at plain app.planhat.com, leave the cluster blank.
  1. In ClosedLoop AI, go to Integrations
  2. Find Planhat and click Connect
  3. Paste your Planhat API token
  4. Select the cluster that matches your Planhat address
  5. Click Connect
